S.W.E.A.T. Goal Setting

With the New Year upon us, and our clients excited to update their goals, I wanted to share my SWEAT Worksheet from “Partner Workouts” published by Human Kinetics, 2022. Before sharing it with your clients, take a moment to reflect and respond yourself with three to five answers to the following questions:

Strengths. List your athletic and performance strengths as they relate to your current health and fitness or your athletic successes to date.

Weaknesses. List your weaknesses as they relate to your health and fitness goals and note any challenges you may have faced in the past.

*Acknowledging both your strengths and weaknesses brings clarity to where you currently are and where you need to get to.

Excuses. List your go-to or most often used excuses or obstacles for not working out or achieving your goals. Next clearly define how you can overcome those obstacles.

Aspirations. What would you like to achieve in 2023? Your aspirations could include something as simple as how you want to feel, or could involve multifaceted goals and achievements. Dream big!

Targets. Your targets are your goals. These include both small and large goals. The more specific and realistic you can be, the better. Set both timelines and check in dates.

Happy 2023 and happy training!
